oh yes! fill the churches with dirty thoughts! paint filthy words on the foreheads of children! burn your credit cards and wear high heels! asylum doors stand open! fill the suburbs with murder and rape! divine madness! let there be ecstasy, ecstasy in the streets.
Every LiveJournal user makes that determination for their own journal.
My journal, though accessible to the public, is, to me, the equivalent of a room in my home. You've been granted some form of access to it. That access is a privilege. Not a right. Please behave courteously, as a guest. I would not come into your home or journal and disrespect you, and I would hope to expect that same common courtesy here.
To clarify, this journal is predominantly private. However, those interested in friending me can form an idea of what to anticipate by reading my unlocked entries. I chose to leave those entries unlocked for that reason and that reason alone. A public post does not mean I am openly welcoming the opinion of any person in possession of a keyboard; it means I leave posts open to comments so that those considering friending me will not be disappointed, shocked or offended by what they find behind closed doors.
Please understand that by presenting my personal opinion in my journal, I am in no way, shape, or form attacking your opinions, and you should never feel obligated to explain yourself to me. Unless I am being graded, I am not about to partake willingly in most arguments that are based on a matter of opinion. To me, that is like fighting with the wrong end of a sword. You're going to make a lot of fucking noise and never make a point. I only form an actual opinion once I have considered all aspects of whatever the matter at hand is. There truly is no need to "debate" my own opinion with me, because chances are I've already heard and considered personal opinions similar to yours before forming my own, varying opinion. I mean, really, does it matter whether or not we're on the same page? It's a big book, kids.
I assure you, no matter what your opinion, about 90% of the world disagrees with you at any given moment. Think about that the next time you find yourself getting worked up over something someone said on the internet.
I just fucked up some baby spiders with the vacuum cleaner.
With that said, I have spent the best part of my day cleaning. Again.
I have a few more small things to get rid of, so, by now you know the drill. I'll post pictures of the items for sale behind a cut with a starting bid, and will post a header for every item in the comments section. If you are interested in any item, find the header in the comments and reply to it with your bid. Make sure to continue checking back to make certain no one has outbid you!
I will leave the auction open until this Friday (the 11th), and whoever has the highest bid at that time will win the item.
Shipping price will vary depending on location, and will be discussed before you are expected to send payment.
It has only just begun to sink in how close we truly are. There is so much I am looking forward to. The costumes, the shopping. I am really, really looking forward to the photoshoot I have set up with roninphotogrphr. We have been discussing it for months now! I am definitely looking forward to running cobheran's head into a mirror, and wearing bobbarker's Indiana Jones hat. I am excited to meet klytaemnestra and everyone else I have spoken to over the course of the past few months.
I cannot believe it was last October that Jess and I made up our minds about attending. Everything was so different back then. The Colonial Fleet was the group that had originally piqued my interest, but I somehow managed to sever any ties I had to the Fleet with seemingly no effort at all (I know, I'm getting good). I can no longer even make a comment about an Eight without inadvertently wounding someone (yeah, that actually happened). That being said, notclownjoker has assured me that the Fleet is massive and expands far beyond the message boards, so, with all that said, I am still looking forward to the infamous parties and meeting the few members I have not yet managed to affront.
Speaking of the Fleet, my costumes are coming together nicely. I am working on both dresses this month, and have almost all of my jewelry put together. My 6 ring is being shipped tomorrow, and it is ( glorious )
This is the most excited I have been about, well, anything in quite some time.
It feels nice, though, to anticipate something. Between this and The Dark Knight, I finally feel as though I have something to look forward to.
I am so glad the Snail has connections to the Scotiabank theatre downtown.
The manager has snuck me every Dark Knight poster to date, and I intend on framing them all and hanging them in the "house" I still have yet to own.
With that said, I think I'm going to create a Batman friending meme. Does anyone have any idea how to go about creating one of those...question...boxes? You know, the HTML code to create one of those convenient copy...and paste boxes...
It took me well over an hour, but I have, at last, sorted throughout my wardrobe.
I packed up two bags of clothes to donate but set aside a few select items to sell. These are the articles of clothing that I had to convince myself to get rid of. Things that I still like but never, ever wear. Most are new, or have only been worn once, and since I am still attempting to save money I thought I would create another auction.
Once again, I'll post pictures of the items for sale behind a cut with a starting bid, and will post a header for every item in the comments section. If you are interested in any item, find the header in the comments and reply to it with your bid. Make sure to continue checking back to make certain no one has outbid you!
I will leave the auction open until this Wednesday (the 9th), and whoever has the highest bid at that time will win the item.
Shipping price will vary depending on location, and will be discussed before you are expected to send payment.
Seriously, though, I have seen that thing posted over at ohnotheydidnt countless times. I still have no idea how it wound up getting out. I posted that here at some point last year for freshwater, and apparently it has now made the rounds on not only LJ but MySpace as well.
With all that said, I am selling my Batman Begins bust.
It was a hard decision, but I am running out of room (in fact I have run out of room) and decided that I would rather keep the Batman bust that matches the base of my Joker bust.
This piece retails for about sixty dollars in stores, but I am starting bids at $19.99. If you're interested, place a bid in the comments. The auction will end Friday. I am going to be listing some clothes for sale this Monday as well, so keep an eye out for that!

Once again I'll post pictures of the items for sale behind the cut with a starting bid, and will post a header for every item in the comments section. If you are interested in any item, find the header in the comments and reply to it with your bid. Make sure to check back to make certain no one has outbid you!
I will leave the auction open until this Friday (the 27th), and whoever has the highest bid at that time will win the item.
